Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress. Since the late 80s Angela Evelyn has appeared in film and TV. Her work has been recognized with several awards, among them the 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was born living in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an Aunt in New York New York. Bassett along with her sister at the age of five old, moved from New York to St. Petersburg to live with their mother, who was the separated father. Bassett saw James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play when she was in high school, and realised that it was acting she was looking to pursue. In 1980, Bassett completed her studies at Yale University New Haven Connecticut with a degree in African American studies. She also received a degree from The Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale, and in 1997 they were married. Qualification: B.A. Graduated from Yale School of Drama School with a Master's Degree on African American studies, in the year 1980. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her lead characters, Ramonda, in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
